Star Trail

The Earth rotates around it’s own axis. One of the most amazing consequence of this motion is that the sky appears to move around in circle on the celestial sphere – an effect termed as Diurnal Motion which makes the stars to trace concentric circles on the sky once a day. The stars appear to rotate around either the North or the South pole. This motion can be tracked with a time-lapse photograph – using a normal camera with high exposure time – and the result is the amazing artistic picture as shown above.
