Thanks to it’s rich history and heritage, Rome is one of the most beautiful cities in this World! Full of tourists and a big colourful loud crowd – somehow it is more like my own country than a typical European City (going by my experience till now, which mainly means less people, less colours and a quite quiet crowd).
In that one Semester I spent in Rome, I luckily stumbled in one little town inside the Province of Rome which was beautiful and yet peaceful – Anguillara! It hosts one of the major lakes of Italy – a lake of Volcanic Origin – The Lake Bracciano. This small city is almost 30km from the Central Rome – and hence does not appear in the must-visit lists of the international tourists. But I loved that small peaceful town – the cosy feel of it, and the clean diverse shades of blue that it offers. Here are a few photographs clicked in Anguillara last year 🙂
