A Journey into a Black Hole!!

Well, this is more of a CosVid and not really a CosPic, but it is too interesting a thing to be not posted. I stumbled upon it a few days ago while browsing the Youtube.

Black Hole

For the ones who are not yet familiar with this particular mystery of universe, before the journey let me introduce the destination in a few lines. A Black Hole basically is a region in space with zero volume and infinite density. Well, it is due to the Earth’s gravitational pull that we are bound to the ground. Now, around this massive black hole is a region with such strong gravitational pull that even light can not escape. Hence, it is impossible for us to directly ‘see’ a black hole. But we can detect the presence of Black Holes by their effects on the surroundings. The most common type of black holes are basically the evolutionary end point of a massive star – when stars around 10 to 15 times the mass of our Sun have consumed all the nuclear fuel in their cores, they result into a gigantic supernovae explosion leaving behind a black hole.

So, anyways, too much of words!! Now is the time for the promised video of a Journey to the Black Hole… 🙂 Enjoy it!!
