Cat’s Eye Nebula!!

The 1000 years old Cat’s Eye Nebula aka NGC 6543 is in Constellation Draco. Planetary Nebula is formed when dying stars throw it’s gas away at the end of their lives like the beautiful Butterfly Nebula. But this nebula is expected to be created by death of two stars orbiting each other. It has pattern of more than ten concentric rings/shells which are brightened along it’s outer edge. Hence it can be concluded that these shells are basically edges of spherical bubbles of dust projected into sky. According to observations, the stars did eject their mass in a series of pulses at 1500-yrs intervals (the reason for which still confuses the astronomers).
