This is a picture released by Hubble just today and all I can say is – ‘ammmmmmazing!!’.
I mean, look at the picture… Isn’t it just per..fect???
Captured here is a brilliant star forming region, some 2000 light years away (that means, light emitted there takes 2000years to reach us).. It has a very young special star in it’s center-region. Well, it is in the final phases of formation, so it is not completely a star yet, but it will be soon – a big bright blue star – a star that is 15 times more massive than Sun and nearly 10,000 times brighter than it!! Surrounding it are the giant hydrogen gas clouds illuminated by that bright young star. (The light from this glowing gas is the blue coloured region in this image).
Didn’t I say before… ‘Astronomy and Astrophysics’ is one of the prettiest sciences!! 🙂
